He had lost interest in the things that he enjoyed the most, doesn't want to meet up anyone and avoid the calls him.
I am looking for ways to help him out so that he can resume back his life.
I did check out some information from the internet but is is more like the theoritical part.
I hope to find out what I can do to help him to gain interest again and regain his confidence to meet up friends again.
I also want to find out why he is avoiding calls too.
whats AP btw?Originally posted by darknessfall:its too open a question to ask such sensitive issue(thats my own opinion)
if the thread starter wants to ask more about depression, i will be glad to write down instead of sending an URL.
If the TS is asking for opinion about it, we will be glad to share.
If the TS is suffering from it, and asking for circle of people to share their thoughts, it will be open for discussion...
But a qn like, who suffered before? What is the underlying reason behind the qn? If TS wants more detailed discussion, kindly restate your qn so that we can discuss further...
i am not being AP lah....![]()

thing is, i noticed that some people seem very happy to diagnose themselves with depression based on self evaluation. i think this is rather foolish as you have a tendency to lead yourself into thinking you have depression when you dont, in worse cases, depression may really result.
depression is not fun, its not a game, its not cool to be depressed, and its not cool to act gothic and all emo in order to seek attention.
depressed people are generally very secretive about it, a happy person on the outside may be undergoing depression as well.
for whatever reason your friend may seem to be suffering from depression, i hope that you pay him a visit, and encourage him to go for counselling if he really wants to overcome his depression.
btw, before anyone starts flaming me, please note that i am not referring to anyone here as seeking attention through undergoing the pretense of depression.
