recommendations for portable mp3 player

i am looking for an mp3 player with the following features in particular. any to recommend?
storage - 1 GB and above
size - that of an FM receiver
features - can be used as a thumbdrive; must have FM receiver; best if got equaliser control -

You've forgotten to state your budget. There's even further high-end Archos mp3 player ($1,500) which you can couple with Westone UM2 earphones ($500+) to derive maximum power
Low budget one IT show got alot....samsung and creative are one of the more affordable brands

Anyway,most mp3 players these days come with colour screen and make sure they are in a sound working condition before purchasing them. Should come with additional functions like mp4 playback if possible

dont really need colour screen. the more essential functions i have listed in my first post. the rest i guess are either basic or luxury. budget? let's see what can meet my needs and then i decide if the pricetag is worth it.

as for meeting needs , alot of mp3 players in the market currently can satisfy your demand already.....you might want to try 1st floor SLS but careful of 2nd floor people will overcharge 
and don't go direct to retail boutique to buy but rather the authorised dealers 
offer to pay by cash and you'll get +3% discount if you show additional interest , maybe you'll get extra more % discount , Korean brands like iRiver are also quite good because they keep on offering new firmware with new capabilities for download
Assuming that you go SLS and buy (since the price is value for $$ there) Remember that some SLS dealers will ask you to offer a price first when you ask them how much it costs... but before that , you need to do a market research on the price you want....Do some homework and find out which dealers are friendly and which dealers isn't....SLS dealers judge by looks and remember to dress well....and each of the individual salespeople in the shop will quote you a different price so you must be very smart
since they are paid commission for the product they sell...walk around and do research by asking prices on the first floor before deciding... -
