1. why is there almost no or totally no freedom of speech, when Sg has claimed to opened up? (or so it seems)
2. why are we still considered so conservative? compared to western countries.. what's with the big hoo-ha about the tammy nyp sex vid?
3. Humans invented something which will kill us - technology. Think about it. you'll know why i said that. (eg: internet, mobile phones, computers)
4. Natural law states that humans are selfish. There's simply too much competitiveness and selfishness among homosapiens. Just take a look at Sg for instance: competition in career/work, school (academic results), sports, fashion, fame, money, etc.
One day, we'll gonna kill each other when we get so paranoid about this 'competition' thing. We're never satisfied with what we have, and are always trying to climb to the top being the best of the best. And if we fall back crashing down to earth, 'our souls would be annihilated' - if u know what i meant.
5. Homosexuality - accepted in Spain, france, US and Britain. Asian countries - nah. Butches/bungs, real gays (the bottom ones), trannies, drags - what's with them?
6. Teen fads - what's with the stupid typing lingo? - example: ii lurbbe euu, i LoVe YoU, thank, anyways, ok bah, i go liao, etc.
It's so f**king irritating and shows what good english singaporeans have, or how effective have MOE cultivated the use of more chinese, less english. (that's the stereotypical views of foreigners towards singaporeans. and yes, i'll have to say at least 60% of singaporean youngsters are simply imbecilic, incompetent in the English language area; be it oral or written. mostly refered to those chinese-speaking schools, chinese-speaking families)
7. Singlish - we've enough of national identities. we don't need any more. In time to come, those people who ain't versatile (ie. not fast to adapt, know how and when to speak standard english), will get lost even before the gateway of international mass communication.
8. Why do we deem English or the West as more superior, quite often? Is it b it is regarded as an International language? After all, English is a language evolved from other languanges such as Roman, Latin, Greek, etc.
The debate between the West and the East will never end.
