How do u make payment when u buy things online?

how do u usually make payments? and how u receive the items?
lets say if it's thru bank transfer, u go all the way to the atm and make transfer of $?
and how does paypal works?

You need a credit card for paypal. Money wire tax very high, not worth it.

Hello,
Firstly, I am a CIPA (Certified Internet Payment Advisor).
For internet transactions, payment is usually done through your credit card.
It could also be facilitated through a payment processor such as paypal, e-wallet, e-money, and the likes, whatever you call it, but usually these processors still use your credit card.
Alternatively, there are also some debit cards with online transactions capability.

If it's local, use ATM Funds Transfer service. If oversea, use Paypal or a Debit Card.

you are buying things from forums or online stores?
it makes a difference.
1) Online Store
Local or overseas, you'll need a credit/debit card or paypal account for making purchases.
If the online store is located overseas, they'll ship your items through fedex, dhl etc or by their own local post service. It really depends on what shipping options they have.
Local online stores e.g. Apple and Creative have their own courier service. Once you make a purchase, you pay by credit/debit card and they'll most probably send your item to you within 3days, unless otherwise stated.
Depending on their shipping options, if you need the items fast you can opt for fedex/dhl, if not just
2) Forums, Ebay or Yahoo Auctions
Depending on the seller's T/C and his location, you can always make a bank transfer if he's located in singapore.
If he's located overseas, then paypal will most probably be the preferred payment method.
Shipping can go from anything like fedex or local post service, charges applies.
Payment Methods
Wire Transfer/TT takes a long time (3 - 7working days), plus a one time service charge applies. Most of the overseas sellers on ebay wont use this.
Paypal - Need a credit/debit card for registration. Most preferred payment method on auctions sites. Unless the seller is local. -
