How to Record Cable TV on your PC

  If you have a Cable tv subscription (starhub ) and a pc, what else do you need to set up so that you can record the tv programmes on your pc?

  But record cable tv also can? Another thing is my pc and my tv in seperat rooms, need to bring into same room or the wire long enough?

  Get A/V splitter (1-to-2) for the Cable TV Set. One connects to TV and the other connects to your PC. If not long enough just go to any hardware store and buy extension A/V cables.
  
  I heard you need TV card and some applications to watch and record SCV on your PC.
  
  Nvr did this before so I can't guarantee it'll work.

  i think there's a need for the signals to be unscrambled at the set-top box before going to the tv card.

  Easiest and sure work way.
  
  Buy a DVD player with build in harddisk. The 1k plus type. Record and burn. Then bring to your com and edit

  Graphics Card these days comes mostly with DVI-out and TV-out only
