unlike vertical loading optical drives usually has a clip on in the ejecting tray middle, those without should be placed flat and horizintally on the table. if the disc can be played back most probably there is no issue with the drives other than that from the small rotating motor/s at the internal. else it could also be some timing issue with the rom so make sure the latest and correct firmware is updated on the rom. (note firmware updates and drivers update is different. messing with the wrong firmware on the wrong model may damage the rom)
also if your comp real slow let the rom stop all the playback activities and stop the media rotation before it enables a safe and proper eject.
lastly the best solution is cyn give me her rom and 10 dollars s/cc i scrap the part for her prob solved she should get a new rom need lobang call 1900-newmanmback
