Higher Nitec in Information Technology - Part Time

Anybody taking Higher Nitec in Information Technology - Part Time?
Just want to know if id it worth it for someone in early 30s (moi). -
Just take a private diploma

Already got a dip in computer studies from Informatics, but not able to find a job in the IT industry.
Btw, anyone took / taking it? Pls share your views. -

i always tot poly teaches more in dept than ite.. but less technical nia. -

Thinking of doing that. Just wanna have more view so as to make an informed choice. well u can do that.. but part time HNITEC will take a longer time to complete ba.

When you all are toking abt hardware which aspect are you referring to? Stuff like hard disk, disk drive, motherboard, memory chip, video card, sound card etc and how they are integrated to make a PC?
Or are you referring to the internals of a harddisk, disk drive, motherboard, memory chip, etc as in the transistor, diodes, resistor etc or watever pin layout etc stuff?
The distinction muz be drawn cuz I think for the first part it can be learned without even taking a formal course. For the second part, that is when NTU computer engineering came in where they can go down to the specific chip and all their pin layout and which pin is ground or watever stuff.
So one gotta be clear what actually does the course teach about hardware. For the first part there will be lot's of ppl focusing in (SLS alot of ahbeng good in this
whereas for the second part, it is a specialized profession that can rival that of a software programmer

Simple. Office work easier to do than technical work mah. If say money is same for both kind of job of cuz opt for easier wan rite? Technical work requires technical skills and not a lot of ppl have it.
Please note technical skills definition is very broad. Service air-con, renovation works etc are also called technical skills. Difference is how difficult is the technical skill to be learned by people. Sometimes they don't want to teach cuz too easy to learn and know so these people play politik don't teach you
