if u go high class expensive chinese restaurant, eg. one where they serve seafood n crabs n abalone... lobster etc.. (eg. yan palace or tung lok)...
n then hor, u n ur friends or whoever is eating with u hor... order only like fried rice or horfun n tea only... or maybe plain rice n a dish of sweet n sour pork hor.... (means order very little la...).....
will the restaurant staff get angry or look down on u? n purposely dun give u good service? (eg. like dun come to refill ur tea..) .... n especially when the tables all around u r having many dishes like steamed fish, suckling pig, lobster salad, shark fin soup, braised duck claypot, pepper crab, drunken prawns etc... -
if they give you bad service, just dont go back again.
you are after all their customer anyways... -
like that why dont you go macdonalds?

ever tried ordering few bowls of plain rice fr the menu and eat happily with the soy sauce on the table and after a while call for bill??

I've tried just ordering their Noodles with Dim Sum and Tea only. Service was great still. Was at Tung Lok.

its ownself that feels out of place only...so if you can pass yourself, then you will not care if you are eating cheaper food. -

not tt i cant afford to eat there...i am simply curious how the staffs r trained to face such situations. do they look down on you or serve u plain rice just like any other dishes.

waiters don't give a flying fark lah .....
trust me .... they still get paid the same anyways .... it's not like we have a tipping culture in Singapore ... if we do, then perhaps the service may be different ....... maybe even better, cos less cutlery to clear up after you if you don't order much ..... think of the mountain of shells if you order lobsters and crabs .... -
