  zen vision released how long nia..last time used my muvo used for 3 years..somemore that muvo spoiled coz i wasn't using properly..so i won't blame on the player.But now the stupid zen spoiled thrice in a year.My fren even worst,lost count liao

  Since you cannot foresee whats going to happen to your player, why not consider customer service instead
  
  My experience with Apple is superb! I plugged my shuffle into a unauthorised charger and burnt it. So its totally my fault. I brought it over to Apple Service and go a brand new shuffle within a week!!! Yes, a new one.
  
  From what i heard, iPod video has special protection structure to protect its harddisk.
  
  However, if you drop any harddisk hardware from a 2 metre height, chances are 50% of the time it will spoil. So as long as you take care of it, all brands should be ok ( Except for sucky design brands )

  ur ipod replaced in 1 week...my zen immediately!but they ought to do so...with such lousy quality mp3 player.....somemore last time have to travel all the way to jurong east factory there....waste $$$$n time...

  WOW. WOW. WOW. They just give you a brand new one like that? You mean Creative is so sure its product will be faulty that it has prepared some Zen at the Customer Service counter to be given out?
  
  Sounds to me like some 3 year old saying "My dad is better than yours!"
  
  If what you said is true, then Creative Tec will be in the very first position in the PCmag customer service rating chart. I wonder why in actual fact Creative is not on the top 20.

  I agree... My Zen Neeon broke down within 6 months of usage. I had to travel all the way in the east to the west to Creative's only customer service centre then.
  
  I was told I had to wait for half an hour while they checked what the problem was, yet there was no proper waiting area and no cafeterias or whatsoever.
  
  However, it's rather laudable that in the event that the customer does not wish to wait in the centre, they will send the repaired/replaced unit to the customer's preferred location at their cost, instead of the customer having to make the trip back to the Creative headquarters. But then again that's only what they should do since customer service is so inaccessible.
  
  So I decided to go home... and on my way out, very fast! like ten minutes later, they called me and said I could pick up a replacement unit already.
  
  I get the impression that Zen Neeon users often run into problems, and that Creative has several replacement units they are more than ready to give out.

  Using iPod currently and after 5 months its working perfectly, with zero case of malfunction. I even tweaked around with it to display my custom "Do not disconnect" image.
