Transitions ROx0rOriginally posted by S2K4:where do you get your spectacles?
what lens do you use?
i heard from friends that.. Hoya.. and Nikon do produce good quality lens..
but there are different diffractive indexes for example 1.6 .174..
what is the difference?
and how do you ensure the frame you get is really a titanium frame?
i own one. let me just say you won't notice anything like your eyes are getting the protection they really getting. The whole idea is just vanity sake. Still, i luv my transitions.Originally posted by photo_seeker:Any one have experiences with Transition Lenses ? I'm thinking of getting my new spectacles with Transition Lens.
Say, I go to a meeting and the room is pretty bright, so the spects will turn into sunglasses right? Then imagine the client don't know that is the transition lens, and find it offended that you wear sunglasses during meeting, how?Originally posted by nullifi3d:i own one. let me just say you won't notice anything like your eyes are getting the protection they really getting. Erm the glasses turn dark under UV light. So unless your meeting room litghs emit UV rays i don't think your bosses will be offendedOriginally posted by DailyFreeGames.com:Say, I go to a meeting and the room is pretty bright, so the spects will turn into sunglasses right? I use Seiko lens. You can ask for scratch resistant kinds. And they are really scratch resistant. So far very good.Originally posted by S2K4:where do you get your spectacles?

no.. only 300 degree for both eyes only..Originally posted by ^tamago^:u got astigmatism?
1.60 is the refractive index asphericity. the higher the number, the thinner the lens for the same degree, the more expensive. for a 400 degree lens, this would translate to a centre thickeness of 4.5mm. lens with index higher than 1.52 are considered hi-index. they are commonly available up to 1.71, with as high as 1.90.
some lens looks very shiny but some are looked very dull.. is it determined by the coatings or the material of the lens?Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:I use Seiko lens. You can ask for scratch resistant kinds. And they are really scratch resistant. So far very good.
I don't know about diffractive index, you have to ask them.
Frame just normal ones will do. Titanium ones are really light, I put on table it flies away when the wind blows. Siao one.![]()
