  Since the General Election will be on 6th May, will it be a public holiday on the following Monday 8th May? My parents say the last GE was that case. Anione noes ah? How to clarify sia...

  6 may is a sat...not a sun...
  only when a holiday falls on a sun...that it will be a public holiday on the following monday...

  last Ge is Nov 3 2001, saturday.
  
  if u all remembered, we should had a president nomination day in april, but becos walkover, so one less holiday..

  I received comfirmation that there will not be an extra public holiday as SAt is considered a working day. why our Govt so niao siah.... Ge oni comes once in 6 yr, give us something to rejoice too ma.... We already rob of one holiday in President election...

  Though i work 5days.....Monday's a replacement holiday for Saturday's GE...yippes~! erm...that's for me from the company i'm working with.......
