How to cure boredom

There are posts about how bored people are but none on how to cure it.
So what is the long term and short term cure for boredom to you? -
I am starting this thread because as you can see my sig I am against gambling and I am afraid that when people become bored and don't know what to do about it, they take the easy way out and gamble.

do some sports

some people chose to do nothing, and therefore are bored.
short term: watch TV, play computer games, eat, sleep
long term: pick up a new type of sport, learn something new like a language/attend classes...
if one choses to do nothing and complains about being bored, then thats their problem... -

ehhh...those are just examples.
different people like to do different things.
you cant lump things together.
to some people, playing computer games could be a long term way of 'curing' boredom... -
go find a job to do and chiong~~~
if 1 job too boring then get multiple jobs~~~
not only can u cure boredom u can earn a fortune also~~~ -
go take a weekend break, fly to KL by airasia, shop, come back.
so many singaporeans do tat, the flight is always full.

sing your favourite songs

Try bungee jumping. Make sure you tie the ropes loosely and damage the ropes a little.

give Hell a vist...you will find Hell's an excited place full or adrenalin and exhilaration

get a gf or a life.

Play video games.

Especially Sunday...very bored..that why I choosed to go to church..at least can have some brothers and sisters around beside the father

Some times it is not about doing something as opposed to doing nothing. It is like, you eat and eat but you still feel hungry!
