Issit true that some ppl wear braces to make their mouth look smaller? Issit a fact?
How much do braces cost? Anyone know of any cheap dental clinic that offer cheap braces? -
I think ppl wear bracelet to straighten their teeth... not to make their mouth look smaller.. correct me if i am wrong.. the price i not sure..

1.5k is quite cheap la.. sgh already 3k. but i think other hospital is around 2k

standard braces prices is around 4k -5k. If done at hospital, under the subsidy system which u queue for 2-3 yrs, its ard 2 k plus
Other private clinic if they are none specialist, charge around 3k+
Specialist clinic (meaning ornodonthics) usually charge 4k+
But all these can be paid by monthly installments. The diff is some clinics will wan u to put 500 in the 1st three visit meaning total 1.5k initial payment, while some is 1k initial payment.
Aniway doing braces hor, if ur teeth is overcrowded, u need to pluck out around 2-4 pre molar or even molar if ur molar got a lot of decay depending on circumstances. Normal braces is cheaper than those ceramic ones
Ceramic ones means tooth colour braces. Cost 500 more per row. And this common questiion, can i do braces on top or bottom only. the ans is no.
Braces for young adults will take 2-2.5 yrs, then need to wear retainers for 1 yr
During braces, need to maintain good orl hygience. Some specialist clinc will only do braces for u, if want cleaning, he will ask u go other dental for cleaning.
I dunno why u can find 2k+ for braces if nt by govt subsidy. Think u very lucky, but does the doc has a gd reputation?

one thing i wan to ask is, if i got a crown on my molar, can the molar still be moved if put braces? or will it spoilt the crown?
I haven put on braces yet coz i got troubematic tooth. My left lower molar did a root canal and a RE-root canal with a crown, when flossing still a bit bit pain. My 2nd right lower molar has extensive fillings n sensitive to COld. My right 1st top molar got extensive filling too.. Coz my molar r quite big, i wonder can pluck out them anot... my premolar are quite gd lei.. its gonna be a challenge for the dentist.
the cb root canal really waste a lot of my money. My advice is if u need a root canal treatment, find a specialist. Mine was done by a GP, then 2 yrs later, i developed abcess, n live with the pain for another 2 yrs b4 i did a free root canal at the army. but army hor, unless ur officers fight for ur appintment, its impossible to get an appointment at the MMI. They give me an initial waiting list of 2 yr initially. i say i ORD liao that time.... Aniway due to a lack of good dentist and specialist there, my root canal drag on for 4 months before it was completed. Further their appointment booking system sucks got one case they cancelled my appointement, i ask them so when is my nxt. they say they will put me on waiting list again. i Sibei dulan, where got such thing one. So i get my M.O who luckily was a nice reservisit doctor at that time help me make the call to them.
Army Dental is go by rank one. u must know how to pull strings. When i call to make appointment, someitme i heard the backgropund asking what rank m i.. to be honest if wasnt for my LOW SLAVERY pay of non combat corporal, i will not have to go thru this daunting process in the 1st place
Its not the doctors at mmi who are no good, but the whole system sucks. Why dont the army do something abt the lack of doctors sia. Somemore whenever i heard the army praise themself on how gd their medical service ah, i felt like vomiting.... -

I'm on braces first now, for 5 months already. With DentalWorks now at paragon. The price depends on whether you need any molar extractions or any jaw surgery.
Mine is about 4k+ including xray and moulding. Didn't extract any molars because my teeth is not that jialat.
First 7 weeks, your teeth will improve significantly. Mine did.
Dentist said that if I take care of my teeth properly, I only need to wear them for 1.5 year if not at most 2 years. -

No not the mouth look smaller. How can a mouth look smaller...
For some people, after wearing braces they may find that they have slimmer faces, but this is due to the removal of some teeth if I'm not wrong.....

when you wear braces, ur mouth will looks bigger cos of the brackets. but after you take them out (probably if ur teeth used to jut out b4 u had them on), it wud seem smaller. hope tat helps. (im wearing braces now.)

Quite ugly and the smile makes my teeth looks protuding and big. So I was thinking will it helps create the illusion of being small..err as for crooked teeth, nah I dun have..wow..braces so ex >.< 1.5k-4k..instalments? haix..I no job and my father will explode!! eeks..erm, perhaps I change my mind afterall >.< -

I wore braces before. Pluck out four teeth before putting on the braces so that I have space in my mouth to push the teeth in.... dunno why must do that, I wasn't even bah gay, only front teeth not nice.
Before I put on braces, I used to have Juliet Roberts' kind of mouth, big big smile one.
After the braces were removed, my mouth actually looked a lot smaller. When I was doing some photo shoot, the few makeup artists said that I have small mouth.
Now when I tell people that I had big mouth last time, they all cannot believe me nor imagine how I looked.
