SINGAPORE : An 8-year-old boy was punched and robbed of some 100 dollars in cash on Friday morning.
A police spokesman said the boy was walking along Block 421 at Chua Chu Kang Avenue 3 when he was stopped by a teenage boy who wanted to befriend him.
The boy followed the teen to the neighbouring Block 409 where the teen demanded an album of Pokemon magnets from him.
When the boy resisted, he was punched in the face and kicked in the abdomen.
The teen, who demanded money from the boy, also broke his spectacles before following the boy to his home at Block 421.
Here, the boy passed him S$8 and another 98 dollars in Chinese Renminbi.
The teen is said to be slim-built, with a dark complexion and is about 1.6 metres tall.
He was wearing a pair of blue-framed spectacles, a blue shirt and black pants.
