Here Singapore service sector needs to brush up a bit. The service attitude from the waiter/waitress is sub standard. The reason why is they don't have to please the customers. They will get the same salary without doing anything extra.
One way to solve this problem is to cut their salary, throw away the fixed service charge and introduce tips system. The customer will tip according to to the service hospitality they receive from the waiter/waitress.
Through this way, the waiter/waitress will feel the motivation to work harder to please customers. As their incomes are on stake if they don't do anything aggresively positive.
So, to sum up - Cut salary, throw fixed service charge, introduce tips system - Then singapore service will see improvement.
