Hey talking about Eng Neo Avenue.. I remember when I used ot drive there quite often, there is this strange row of lights in the centre of the road on the ground that would light up as you drive past as well. it's very sparkly and nice!
Anyone has any idea what it is for or seen it before? -
Costal Road.. One Straight road along Changi Runway! Drive there SHIOK...

i think its for safety.. cos if the streetlights go out there.. think it can get pretty dark at night.. these "row of lights" is to mark out the lanes i think.. so drivers can still keep to the lanes..Originally posted by ShrodingersCat:Hey talking about Eng Neo Avenue.. my gf and friend both told me about this beautiful blue lights along that stretch, went one big detour to catch it. in the end as disappointed.
maybe spoil or wat, but i din see any kind of metal markers on the road though.any updates if the blue lights are still there? -
Speaking of lights, when i was young, I remember getting excited when my father drives into the CTE tunnel. Rows of yellow and white flourescent lamps on top that snakes through the tunnel.
Like sci-fi movie liddat, and we all turn yellow. Somehow I am also excited by the fact that we can't receive any radio transmission in the tunnel.
That was when I was a kid and I was easily fascinated.
Interesting to note some of the ulu, quiet, "green" roads as mentioned above here! -
kranji > just after the industrial where there's a bridge linking to lim chu kang.
on one side is the water catchment n the other side is JB.
both day (early morning) and night is nice, quiet
and peaceful. lights on the JB side is quite nice too. -
taman jurong > the tall trees along both sides of the road are superb. all the way till it reaches the former tang cheng. makes great photo shoots there.
turn into the road leading to chinese garden...its rather nice stretch of road there as well. -
for east side
ECP towards changi, at the stretch of PA, singapore sailing club (both sides qualify) > if you are driving nice n easy on both sides (do lookout for speedsters), you'll notice the trees on both direction. and bcos its straight you'll have a full long view...looks big. plus the center divider is full of small blooms...its nice.
siglap area heading upwards to chai chee industrial park > this is a winding road that heads up and passes thru the siglap private estate. though its a 2 lane (1 way each), its beautiful when u finally reached the peak of the estate where you'll notice a big round about that is sloping down. normal road tar switched to red bricks on this short stretch of road.
road leading to changi village via SAF CC, laguna CC, tanah merah ferry terminal > long stretch of road with tall trees (again) on both direction. this stretch of road enables one to view a plane taking off from changi airport (T2).
