everybody, i hope you know that there are many people besides joan that is suffering from cancer. little kids and others, many are suffering and dying everyday. please do not feel sad and helpful only when newspaper publish one's person plight.
a lot of people feel that they are lucky when compared to joan plight but after some time, they will return back to their normal self who is afraid of minor things of life.
i just like to share some truth about cancer,
cancer don't discriminate against good or bad people.
we all can die anytime, anywhere in many ways
we are unlucky that our life is not within our control, but we have to accept it, respect this rule.
stop harping or wishing for god, there is only nature and its law. acceptance is the key.
personally, i always imagine myself going to die and thinking about it make me a more mature person because i learn a lot of things from it. -
Whenever such incident happens, I will always feel sad and sorry for the person. And I found out about Joan through forum, not the newspaper. Yea acceptance is the key, praying to God doesn't mean you wouldn't want to face the fact and accept the reality. It's something we least could do to express our concern and love for the unfortunate ones.. And prayings do make a big difference... many r healed even for the fact that their recovery rate is 0 percent. U haven seen yet..

PAIN as being a constant factor in human life, cannot be absent.
Even in good health, PAIN, is there. By this, I meant the 'pain' in stresses of making a living, caring for and looking after a family, generaly anxieties and whatever that concerns you significantly. These are by all means emotional pains.
When we come down with the Godfather of all human deseases, CANCER, dying involves another whole set of PAIN - physical pain, mental pain, and emotional pain. It is this combination of pain, that often breaks a person or sometimes, drive them to suicidal options.
All of us, are living each day closer to our eventual demise. While it's totally true that we cannot choose the manner in which we die, we also cannot predict WHEN we may die.
But I believe, that prayer does help to some extent when one is going to expire, LETTING GO plays a larger part in this commonly dreaded transition in life.
LETTING GO, is the hardest part of dying - you need COMPLETE FAITH in whatever you believe in, religion or otherwise. -
pain is good...it lets you know you are alive...

Heck, when my dad passed away, I wasn't around to watch - his sister was, and she said he closed his eyes and simply LET GO.
He was a staunch Budhist, but converted to Catholic faith a year before he passed on.
He is one tough man - he told me once; ".. son, my money has depleted...next time when my heart gives me problems, I'm letting go...."
And he kept his words.
He fought with a heart valvular desease for 10 years, and it depleted his $120,000 retirement funds as well as Medisave.
So it is indeed true, that in Singapore, you should just die when you fall ill in old age. -

Yeah I believe in letting go. Honestly, it may be easy for me to say this, but let's say I am like beside a person gonna die from cancer, I won't be like "oh u must fight on, have faith" and etc. I also think everyone has their time, so when it's time to let go, let go.
On the other hand, I'll really pity the person and probably tell him to fight on should be he face a certain tragedy which leaves him scarred for life, like losing a limb. -

Tears there and then, can never relieve the pain you feel constantly as you witness the person expire. It's so painful, your tears could not flow. You lose all sense of physical needs; hunger, sleep, thirst, etc....
PAINFUL! VERY, PAINFUL.... -
In Singapore they have made the system to favor the rich so it is true that when you are sick to just let go..... nothing to fear, death. Everybody dies whether you fear or not, whether you pray or not... (if prayer works, then there will be no dead people) it is a question of sooner or later..... in Singapore sooner is better since you can't even vote out those who have made it so.
