® and TM

  this question is for those who know something about business studies in SG.
  
  1) What is the difference between a Registered mark(®) and a trademark(TM)?
  
  2) I know it costs around SGD$3800++ to register 1 trademark(and that takes 2 years!). What about a Registered mark(®)?
  
  because me and some friends are going into web design business a few years and we're planning now.

  Hmmm.. i think it cost money to do a registered trademark. As for regular trademark TM, just have to add it here and there can liao. Dont even need to register.
  
  As for website, I think you would probably want copyright. Just have to put the (c) and year of design.
