What do you guy think of O2 Atom?

Am in a dillemma and in help here...
I have offer for O2 Atom for $1180.
Currently using Sony Ericsson W900i..
Do you guys think I should trade in my phone for the new one? -
What is O2 atom? I keep hearing about it, but no idea what the fcuk is it.

I was on the bus I sat behind this guy using an O2 atom. Wah he use until damn seh, hold up high high so I sit behind can see what he doing. Then the bus jam brake coz red light, his O2 flew, luckily in front nobody. I was laughing so loudy, luckily I had to alight next stop, or else damn malu, dunno about the state of his O2 though.

it has a lot of functions. if u're a ex-PPC/WM user, u'll go for it. it also has this status stuck to it, still. but it is actually a taiwan product by HTC. it's all about branding.
stability, no major issues. but it may be too complicated for those who have not used this kind of phones before. some of the cons are whether the screen can withstand scratches, cos if scratch it'll irk u a lot. i'm not sure how often u need to soft reset, but as said by some here, it may not be good for a mobile phone device to have to soft reset, even if it's once a day.
if u're used to WM, i have no issues with it. or else stick with SE. -
Most commented that it has lots of bugs and isn't very stable at all.
Wait for the new mobo for it.
I'm deciding this between O2 mini.

Actually, I hate the cursed thing after using it for one year.
Mine's an O2 XDA2, and it's giving me high blood pressure!
I'm going to switch to HP's PDA phones! This one, I'll put it under a 6 tonne truck's wheel! -
dopod quite good actually
except for the 818 -
FYI, Atom is not by HTC. It is quite obvious in the design and styling of the device. The successor to O2 mini is Dopod 818. For some reason, O2 decided to go with the other ODM.
A little out of touch, can't remember the ODM/OEM taiwanese company and all of HTC's product name. Surf on the web and check out modaco would provide alot more information.
Personally, I wanted the Dopod 818, but still deciding. Dun really need it at this point, XphoneII works fine for my purposes currently. Chucked the mini to GF.
EDIT: This website useful http://wiki.xda-developers.com/ and that other Taiwanese ODM is Quanta. Newer, and products overall not so proven. Must have sold their Atom at a very good rate to O2 to convince them to use their device. -
i much prefer the Eten M600. Im using it now. O2 atom was using the miniSD which makes it a more expensive storage option
