  if i'm not wrong, it's not possible unless the voice is recorded on a different 'track' or 'layer'. this is possible cos most studios when they record the singer, the room inside is quiet and the singer use headphone, so only the voice goes into the mic to create the voice-only track. later they merge this track into the audio channel to finish up.
