BUY A COW FOR CHARITY26 April 2006 – The cows are back. This time with calves in tow.
ComfortDelGroÂ’s advertising arm, Moove Media, will be installing 200 adult cows and 500 baby cows all over the island to commemorate its first anniversary. This time, the three-dimensional cows will be planted in areas like Holland Road, Orchard Road, Braddell Road and Hill Street from 28 April 2006.
The award-winning cows first grabbed attention in April last year when they popped up on grasslands along expressways overnight. They created such a sensation that ComfortDelGro put them up for an online auction. A total of $8,000 was raised and donated to HNF.
In anticipation of strong demand for the cows, especially the smaller versions, ComfortDelGro will be selling the cows to raise funds for charity. “Adult” cows will be priced at $200 each while the calves, which are about 0.6 metres tall, will be priced at $100 each. All proceeds will go to ComfortDelGro’s adopted charity, the Home Nursing Foundation.
Members of the public who are interested to buy a cow for charity can visit MooveÂ’s website at www.moovemedia.com.sg for more information starting 28 April. The last day for orders is 11 May 2006. Calves, half the height of the original cows, graze the grasslands for MooveÂ’s First Anniversary
