Are flip-flops too casual?

Do you think they are too casual when going to town or to a nearby mall?
Are they too casual when going to school(poly)?
I mean,flip-flops with the Trail brand etc are reserved for marketplace wear but how about brands like Billabong,OP..etc.?
Would someone give you a feeling like he is not dressing properly with flip-flops? -
i personally can't be bothered, but then society(older/more conservative pple) can't accept it....

I tot poly also like that.. wear watever u are comfortable with, as long as u dun get caught. I ever saw girls wearing boots on a damn hot day. And I tot they were out of their mind.

No leh. I think I can wear flip-flops anywhere I like, mostly. I guess it depends on your style. Wearing flip-flops may look too casual if your dressing is plain. -

no what..i go to sch in shorts, t shirts and slippers..and i go to town after that..
does it matter if you're wearing a birken's or a trail?not everyone can afford, but at least they know that they're comfortable with what they're wearing.. -
I just wear whatever I feel like it....unless there is a dress-code restriction lar...

I wear my thongs to lectures, tutorials and generally if it's a hot day.
*note thongs = flipflops. not the other thongs. -

It is difficult to run with them on like when rushing after buses etc...

but if you are in cold places isn't it kinda uncomfy?

in singapore, where else can be colder than tt? -
