in history textbooks, stamford raffles was dubbed as singapore's founder of modern singapore. but quite recently...ive seen this title was used for LKY in the media and papers.....contradicting?? hehe

we were taught it was sir stamford raffles...
but since LKY is more recent..they probably used him to represent the modern singapore(i.e after independence)....
seriously i wouldn't be surprised to see youngsters who don't know who is sir stamford raffles... -
It should be Raffles because I think he set Singapore from a Malay village to a world's main port of call.LKY,to a lesser degree,IS the founder of modern s'pore,changing from 3rd world to first.Anyways,who founded sentosa?
