  I think the statement is flawed. Both Unis have their stronghold on different disciplines. It is not fair to compare them as they are apples and oranges rite? In NUS we have computer science but in NTU we have computer engineering. Although on surface they sounds abit same but there are subtle difference in both disciplines.
  
  Of cuz if one wanna dig up the old history of before NTU it was NTI etc etc then hehehehe.... NUS looks to have a more prestigious and politically correct history

  however ntu and smu are improving themselves so fast that i forsee they will overtake nus in the next 1 or 2 yrs ..nus seems more bureacratic

  Dunno what you mean by "better", but NUS has a higher academic standing and longer history as a uni. NTU used to be NTI (institute)....only got its full uni status in the early 90s.

  FEES: both are high
  SUBJect: depends on which one u study, engg NTU, sci NUS
  Hostel: NTU cos its new, NUS cos its hot...
  distant: NTU more like country side, NUS reachable
  Standards: NO idea.. ask the dean or see newspaper
  HUnk/babes: NUS
  wat else ?
