Recommendations for Hair Cut & Highlight

Guys, I'm looking for saloon that will do guys Hair Cut & Highlight at a reasonable rate. Current hair style is High Slope which I'm thinking of changing. Never get styled hair nor highlight before. Any recommendations?

I cannot stand long hairs though. Thus not sure if there's any way not to keep long hair. My request may be funny though.

My hairstylist ymond,u can find him at bugis reds,hes off on thurs tho..

ask the hairstylist for recommendation too. they should have their professional point of view. -
I don't really like styling of my hair. Seldom do that.
So am actually considering mid-length and highlight or tint. -

I used to go to Reds Bugis. $31.50 for normal guy's haircut. They have good service - They serve you tea and biscuit while you're waiting for your stylist. They wash your hair, then cut, then rinse again. (They will massage your head during the washing process.) Finally, they will help you style your hair. The above services may vary according to different stylists and also depending on the time of the day (peak or non-peak).
I went for my haircut at Chapter2 Bugis today. Decided not to go to Reds anymore because the last time I went, Kelvin ignored my instructions and went ahead to cut the style tht he recommended. I hated the end result. Chapter2 charges a lower price for normal guy's haircut. Only about $26. Got to pay more if you request for a senior stylist to cut for you (Refer to www.chapter-2.com). However, they have slightly inferior service standards. They wash your hair directly at the basin, not at the seat. No head massage. Did not offer drinks or snacks. No final rinse after cutting.
The above are my comments on the price and service standards of the 2 salons. However, if you want to ask which salon will give u a better haircut, I cant really tell you. It doesnt depend on the name of the salon. It depends on who cuts your hair and whether tht person can give u something tht u want, so just try out a few times and once u find a stylist tht u like, stick to him/her. -

me is Marina Square one. Last time i went to Moonsoon by Heatwave. The WANG LU JIAG and QUAN YIFENG one. besides them. its cheaper, but i think their stylist damm attitude lor. got one time around 8pm. the door say OPEN. so i go in tell the receptionist i wan cut hair. Then she took a long time, then finally go look for stylist, then come back say i nv make ani appt, they close liao.
So i was like DULAN. ur shop put open, door open big big and u say close?? somemore its not i request for particular stylist lor. So i nv went there again since. -
Aiya, sometimes they just insist that you make an appointment, but even if u make appointment, u still have to wait for a long time if everyone is busy. There was once I waited half hour at REDS... Seems like Reds have a not so good reputation now?
Maybe I'll try the other outlet. How much does it cost with Highlights? -
REDS is good, but I just hate the waiting time during peak hours. You can try to go during off-peak hours during weekdays. If there's anything you want to ask about the price or service, you can call them to ask.
