Set the social security payment too high and you remove the incentive to work; set it too low such that it's hardly enough to support oneself and you defeat the purpose. the welfare system will cover ur kids education expenses..thats wht the australians r getting..if u have a kid..still stuyding...depending on the age...govt will give certain amount of money per 2 weeks..my relative hes 15...still studying..he received bout 800 per months...so his parents dont really have to worry bout giving him allowances...and if u r unemployed...u'll get benefits too...but da benefits r not much huh...so obviously its better to WORK....i think da system is all bout sharing...everyone will stand to benefits.....u pay...u gain!
here u pay tax..though not much...but u and ur family need to slog more...
