after more than 1 yr, i went to orchard rd again...

and i remembered why it's been so long...
wanted to go there for dinner with my wife, but by the time we got thru the jams, we have to deal with full carparks, cars cutting into our lanes and daredevil jay walkers...and when we finally parked the car, we saw queues outside most of the restaurants...we finally got to eat dinner...at wisma's food republic...imagine travelling all the way to orchard just to eat Wuxiang xia bing...
after that, we did some window shopping, by that time we're finished, my legs were already starting to ache...she had wanted to go beyond ngee ann city, but the thought of having to walk all the way back to wheelock place to the car made me stop her...so, we head back home instead...gone were the days where i can walk from wheelock to plaza singapura...and back....
how often do you ppl go shopping @orchard rd? -
i go there almost every week..
it's a nice place to shop,cos it has almost everything that u can ever want -

I think the problem is because u drove.
I hardly ever drive to orchard unless it is non-peak hour OR working hours (which means it is bloody expensive to park so.... I hardly ever drive to city area period)
Its better to just take public transport cos u can walk from one MRT to another or take bus around.
Then again, the reason why I dont really like city area is the cROWD which ...is there ALL THE TIME. -
yep, try going there on weekdays it should be better.
Alternatively, perhaps go there earlier in the day (weekends) so that there is still not much traffic.
There might be indications that you need some exercise, anyway to exercise regularly is a healthy lifestyle. -

i do most of my shopping online
weekdays im oredi working in office tower above a big shopping mall in singapore so i do not have to go to orchard rd for shopping or food on weekdays
i absolutely hate crowds so im at home on weekends, or i go to malls in the heartlands....
heartland shopping centres now very self-sufficient mah...i can go supermarket, go for manicure, buy bra from metro......
unless i need tiffany or mont blanc or CD or fendi, then bo bian have to head to orchard lah. -

watch movies, i rather go heartland malls...less crowds...

borders and kino are great places to read all the magazines. save lots of money.

Well i usually head down there unless i got something which i need to buy in Orchard,like clothes or stuff. I might hangout over at wheelock over in the evenings to browse through books at borders and have coffee at starbucks, else i too don't really want to jostle with the crowd on the weekends.
I usually try to go down to Orchard during the weekedays to do my shopping, as its quieter and you tend to get a diferent level of service during the weekdays -
weekly or fornightly. definitely not more than a month.
