Nothing is impossible. Nobody can forecast what will happen 5 years down the road.
Eg of possibilities:
1) Huge economical downturn in the world leads to major cyclical unemployment in singapore. % of unemployment is HUGE. People lose confidence in PAP government. People vote PAP out in 2011.
2) PAP split into different factions due to disagreement on issues.
3) Someone pass away( U should know who). PAP government in unstable condition. Oppositions make us of this chance to rise up to power.
4) Singapore media change faction to pro-Oppositions. Report mostly on oppositions only.
5) Alot other more.
So my point is nothing is impossible. And there is a chinese saying which goes "Fu bu guo san dai", which means wealth doesnt pass beyond the 3rd generation. As much as i hope for a stable government in singapore, we cannot dismiss the possibility that the PAP government will always be in power. -
