I wud like to know where to find tailors that makes business shirts for men. Famous names like CYC or tourist traps are out for me.
as a yardstick, the current tailor i go to now makes 3 shirts for $100. but the variety he offers for stripped cloth 2 make clothes are limited.
so i want 2 find out which tailors wud offer more variety in terms of cloth
or which shops in jalan sultan or geylang serai i can buy cloth and ask tailors 2 make for me
Many thanx

3 shirts for 100?? so cheap ar? normal business shirts or can make fashion a bit?
armour_infantry
normal business shirt.
i dun get u by making the shirt fashion abit. Fashion in terms of wud? colours, cutting wud else? cutting wise i think the tailor quite up to date with the latest cutting in fashion.
3 for $100 is the so called normal cloth but like wud i said..the cloth design not much variety of the stripped kind.

G2000 can liao la..so many boutique nw adays...
armour_infantry
yeah, lotsa g2000 shops ard.
but then, i really haf problems wif ready made clothes, either collar too tight or the sleeve length too long and big or the size is too big which makes me look sloppy as my shoulders are small.
therefore buying at g2000 means incurring extra costs to alter the clothes which is firstly a waste of money and secondly, the alterations aren't always good.
therefore tailor making wud seem 2 make more economic sense and ensure a better fit.

I'm also looking for more heartland areas.. Good quality at valued pricing. I've been to one at Far east shopping centre. It's a credible shop as got introduced by a close buddy. Just would like to know more places.
I did some tailoring in Bangkok 2 months back. Very good quality clothing at the kind of prices paid. $30 shirt for 60-$70 range in Singapore. I know my materials so I know what i'm paying for.
But now in SG, so looking at alternatives. Anyone?

hi metal gear how abt more on the far east shop u went to?
i've heard abt thai tailors.wud happens is thai drivers who regularly travel bewtween thailand and singapore will get the cloth and measurements from some tailors customers or whoever here. they den bring the materials back to thailand for tailor 2 do it up before bringing back to sg. never seen it but heard of this service.
