Cookies - These are helpful when you return to a website previously visited your Username and Passwords will be remembered
Temp IE Files - Help in speeding up the access and loading of pages you previously visited. They can be erased as they take up some space. -
erasing cookies is for when u are cheating in a on9 gaming site such as utopia..

Well, let me say this:
Cookies stores data specific to web sites you enter, if left accumulated, they are a goldmine of information for when your system is compromised by a spyware, a trojan, or simply accessed by a Hacker.
Files in Temp Folder can fatten over time, while Temporary Internet Files are a great place for viruses, spyware and adware to linger.

no... clearing cookies and temporary files will not damage yur PC... in fact, it is better if u clear all these b4 u shut down yur com after usage..
