  i didn't watch it either.. but a few finalists were crammed down our throats so much i ended up loathing the 2 dudes...

  Daphne has way better articulation than Sylvester, it's not even funny.
  
  Taufik's speech seems unnatural in a way. Emotionally lacklustre.
  
  But Jeassea's personality, if you see that show she's on, is quite so-so. She seems a bit bland post-Idol.
  
  Actually, I think Daphne has the best natural oratorical skills amongst the "Top 12" of SG Idol Season 1. Second would be a tie between Olinda / David Yeo / Leandra.

  My point is. Daphne is the perfect choice, plus her background, maybe her internship is at Mediacorp. She's a 3rd year at Ngee Ann Poly, so that's probably why we're seeing her so much. Using her 15-minutes-of-fame-plus-extensions for a school project. Smart girl, eh?

  Loads of Singaporeans speak worse. MUCH MUCH WORSE. *cough* Sly *cough* Has Daphne even spoken an ounce of Singlish yet? Ever? EVER?!?!?! I've never noticed. However, we don't hear them SG Idol finalists speak much anyway.
  
  How perfect do you want her to speak? Define. Slur? What slur? You mean her accent? She lived in New Zealand or Australia or wherever for how many thousands of years. Why do you care anyway? Not many Singaporeans speak as well as her.
