Cathay Pac or Thai Airways?

Hi folks, couldnt find a travel section so i posted under chit chat.
Anyway, just wondering what u will choose if u were in my position.
Well, im visiting Seoul in june and ive 2 choices;
1) My agency quoted me $1140 with Cathay Pacific, and free stopover in HK on the return trip
2) $650 with Thai Airways, free stopover in bkk
At the same time, i am also considering visiting Jeju island which will set me back by a few hundreds.
Which should i choose? Take cathay and probably shop in HK and may not have enough $ for Jeju, or take Thai airways which is cheaper & save the $ for Jeju trip instead. Actually im fine with visiting HK, Jeju or Bkk, no special preference. Can u guys tell me which is more worth and more fun??

Is there a lot of difference between Thai airways and Cathay? i also want a comfortable seat and dont want to feel bored throughout that 7 hrs of flight?
Has anyone went to Jeju island before? isit really worth going? -
Cathay is better for the service and aircraft type.
For Cathay : You be flying most probably a Boeing 777 to Hong Kong and either A330/B777 to Seoul.
All of CX's aircrafts has Personal TV in every seat, you won't get bored. Service is not bad.
For Thai : Prepared to fly their sucky Airbus A300 to Bangkok and change for either A330 or B777 to Seoul.
There are no Personal TV on board , if you choose Thai, bring some sort of entertainment along. Service is better then CX if you ask me.
If you are on budget , fly Thai.
Actually another way of getting there , direct and price is reasonable is Korean Air . You will fly the Boeing 777-300 with PTVs. Service is good. Hope this helps. -

With the $490 + free stopover in Bangkok you can easily go for a good holiday in HongKong, not just a stopover. -

Ive gone to BKK before, but ive only bought many cheap Tshirts, accessories and decorations only. -
