  sometimes the gal dun mind, but the gal's parent mind.
  
  They want their daughter to be married to a rich family, so that she can enjoy life. instead of suffering(the gal may think it's ok, but to their parents, living in HDB instead of condo/bungolow is like suffering) with a poor guy.
