Funny smells on SBS buses

Hi guys, due to work i always take the first bus from my place which is near the interchange...upon settling down into my seat there is this super weird smell that
hits me and i believe the other passengers notice it too...smells like they cleaned the bus with week-old dirty mopping water. As my journey takes around 40 minutes, you can imagine the discomfort. Has anyone here encountered it as well? -
Do not know why , but this smell is usually found in the night time. Why is that so?

Theres this smell that is always there on the first few morning buses.

Is there any Monsoon drain near the interchange? It's a musky smell right?

I think it's because the bus door was closed in the end and the smell got trap. Thus the smell persisted in the Air Con for a few trips.

Which bus do you take? I smell that musty odor on some buses too. Or, use noseplugs.
Even better-- use one of those military issued gas masks. Those should do the trick. -
