But based on experiences from many hospitalisation, the medication is only dispensed by your doctor on the day you're to discharge. It's dispense to your name and no way your bed number cause a patient might change ward and bed during his/her stay.
I thought hospital pharmacist only dispense for outpatient? Not too sure, I have never pharmacists dispensing, but the nurses only, according to what the doctors have written.Originally posted by depressed_80:why leh? they dispensed da wrong meds to u? no way wat..usually the doctor will write the prescription, then the pharmacist will be the one dispensing to the patient..i'm working in hospital..![]()
The doctor will give the orders to the pharmacist and they will be the ones sending the medication to you, just after the doctor have signed the discharge form. On Sundays/Public Holidays, the nurses do the pharmacist job as pharmacy is closed on Sunday/ Public Holidays. Only those satalite stations are opened for discharge medications.Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:I thought hospital pharmacist only dispense for outpatient? If still inside the hospital, they will go by the patient's name and the ward & bed number.Originally posted by dragg:lets say a man is hospitalised.
