Oh. Everyone must take care when calling those ads in newpaper asking u 2 sell yr laptop for highest price blah blah. Just now i call one. We had already finalised on the price already(the price after i sell my lappy and the new lappy price. We finalised on $ 1300. Then he suddenly ask me go back consider. I said huh?I thought confirmed liao. He say price is $1600 or $ 1700

Electronics and Branded Goods are much expensive than that of Singapore Stores.
As for the trade-in issues with classified vendors, there's are a handful of good ones only. I'm thinking of selling to them only if I cannot sell mine. -

I think warranty is more a issue to me, I mean I won't want to bring back my faulty item back to Malaysia for a one to one exchange...even its in JB (Think about the traffic and human congestion @ causeway turns me off)
I will only consider to purchase a IT product in Msia if the product has a international warranty then again, you may or may not pay a premium on international warranty (Which defeat the purpose because I wanted it cheap in the first place)...anyway this is product dependent ba I think...

PC Show is coming up. Usually they can give up to few hundred bucks offers there and with free stuffs like printer as well. Warrenty is also usually 1st year international and later years in Singapore. Think i was given 3 years from Sony last year.

PC show 2006 is the best time to get best offers in years. Here's why.
1) PC Show itself consist of lots of vendors and its purpose is to sell lots of PC at cheap price.
2) Windows Vista will be out into the market by Nov 2006. Though not all would rush to buy it, its natural that all retailers would want to clear their WinXP so that they can make space for Vista.
3) Since Vista runs on 64-bit chip and are usually Dual Core, present Pantium 4 processors are being sold at a much cheaper price. This is a good time to get a 3.2Ghz P4 processor for a very cheap price -
