  I dont watch Spore Idol, just that I am bombarded the trailers on TV Mobile. Personally , I think Jonathan has a higher chance of surving in the market if he wins the Singapore Idol. Cos he will have to release a Chinese album if he really wants to make it big. For Paul, no matter how talented a singer he is , he might be able to release an English album and then that's it for him. For a non Chinese contestant, they should have an idea its virtually impossible for them to be as popular as the Stefanies or the JJs. No offence to Taufik but if Sylvester has the right package and the right company willing to pump money in him , he would have been way more popular. Wonder how come so many people still wana join Singapore Idol when it is a route that leads to nowhere. Look at Tanya , she used to sing English songs but now belt out Chinese sentimental ballads and she is so highly sought after by the various international music companies.
  
  Singapore Idol is just a money making avenue for Channel 5. They now have the Singapore Idol demand and the book to promote the show. So what's next, a sticker album? Just be entertained and enjoy the show. Whoever wins doesnt matter. If you are really looking for a possible star in the making or really want to make it big in the music industry, I think Project Superstar 2 gives you a higher chance of doing that. Though it is also getting boring. zZzZz

  a bestseller doesn't mean it has very good english within its pages.
  
  all that matters is marketing, and chinese songs are more marketable.
  
  just look at all the ktvs.

  Hmm, Jonathan's rendition of Santana's Smooth is a little weak. Good song choice though.

  Huh? Really? I tot it was a bit weak. In fact, for me? I tink Hady was best but then again, it wasn't great. Also weak but better than Jon leh.
