In long run, buying or rent flats, which one is more worth?

  For, let say a avaerage earners with a family size of 4, which one is more worthwhile, buying HDB flats directly by paying monthly installments or rent it so have extra cash for savings and investing?

  I tink it depend if you wanna to plant your roots into spore or not. If you want it is more convenient to buy a HDB flat so you are at least ensured a shelter over your head for your whole family every nite provided you pay the instalments promptly.
  
  Renting means if cannot renew lease after expire you had a hard and troublesome time moving house to house with whole family. I tink convienence is the key deciding factor here. As for money wise I am not so sure yet

  Cannot use CPF to pay rent right? So what do you think... You won't tie up your funds in CPF and have greater disposable income monthly. Initial HDB flats owners typically get subsidised a huge rate so they can make a profit selling them on 2ndary market.

  Cuz a lot of ppl speculate and spoil the market so hdb introduce new law for hdb flat muz stay at least 5 years before can sell.

  So it means you're renting for 99 years lah... Hmmm... Singapore government really think of everything to make money, imagine one day the auntie from the furniture shop says that you can either rent the chair for $10/month or you pay $100 to buy it but you have to return it after 1 year so the auntie can resell it. This type of attitude is very gangster right? Enough said, I think people know how the PAP works.
