but it's better to get a third party casing .... those canon and sony ones are notoriously prone to flooding ...... especially if you're using it for scuba diving .... -
most digital cameras comes with housing these days.
Even Olympus's SLR E300 comes with one.
So far, I heard good comment about Cannon S60 esp when it has got a underwater white balance option that really brings out the red colour underwater.
Red turns brown underwater. Most underwater pictures also have a greenish look. -

Yes, because of the water.
So what colour you see on land might not be what you get underwater. Red being the most obvious from what I seen so far. I mean the difference in colour.
Yellow, Orange, Pink still ok and of cos black n white. -

Just that after that, you dont even need the ziplock bag cos the camera wont be of any use liao
