Religious myths have a place. Like when Jesus told an old man; "You must be born again."
You know what the old man asked Jesus? "I am already so old, how to go back into my mother's womb?"
So you see? You cannot always take the literal meanings. "Spiritual" and "Physical" are worlds apart and sometimes, when using "physical" world examples to talk about "spiritual" things, it can be very confusing. -

I find it very ridiculous.
Think about it, the thought that the universe is created from a huge explosion that scientists think have a 1 in a few billion chance of happening, its just ludicious. -

I've just read "Big Bang" by Simon Singh last week. It's very well-written, coherent and concise, and makes a good case for the Big Bang theory. But I suppose one reason why it's so hard for people to believe in the Big Bang theory is that it's counter-intuitive, just like how people of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries found it hard to accept the theory that the Earth revolves around the Sun and not the other way round.

A joint UK-US team has put forward an alternative theory of cosmic evolution.
It proposes that the Universe undergoes cycles of "Big Bangs" and "Big Crunches", meaning our Universe is merely a "child of the previous one".
It challenges the conventional view of the cosmos, which observations show to be 12-14 billion years old.
The new ideas, reported in the journal Science, may explain why the expansion of the Universe is accelerating, the researchers say.
"At present the conventional view is that all of space, time, matter and energy began at a single point, which then expanded and cooled, leaving the Universe as it is today," said Professor Paul Steinhardt of Princeton University, New Jersey.
"However, this new theory suggests that there's a continuous cycle of universes, with each a repeat of the last, but not an exact replica.
"It can be thought of as a child of the previous universe."
You see, in science; nothing is confirmed, not even "Gravity." -
What was before the big bang? Okay so the universe was an ultra-dense little singularity, but when it was like that, what was around it? Space? If so where did that space come from?

There is another theory, that our Universe isnt the only one, and that each Universe is like a small leaf existing on a big tree, and that each big bang is like the growing and dying of a leaf. This shows that Universes never cease to exist because leaves will keep on growing and dropping off the tree...any thoughts on this?
