  why are hawkers doing that?

  i bought bean curd this morning.
  
  i paid 70cts for one in plastic container. an auntie came by and paid 50cts for one in plastic bag.

  all stalls should provide plastic bags. use plastic containers only for those who ask for it.
  
  more and more stalls do not use plastic bags anymore.
  
  it is unfair to make customers pay 20cts for a useless container.

  Seriously, they won't earn that much cause the containers usually cost between 15c to 20c each even at suppliers. Oil price is up and the containers are by-products.
  
  I think the stalls still have those plastics bags. Just ask for plastic bags instead of container. And I thought Bean Curds are usually sold in containers?

  I'll wash them to reuse at least once unless they're really oily like those used to store Mee Siam.
