Dying your hair

  in the instructions, it says do not shampoo before dying hair, why is this so?
  
  what if i still go ahead and dye even after i just shampooed my hair?

  if ur shampoo is those tamade good one then it will form a layer on ur hair then the dye cannot go into the hair then u blame who?

  some shampoos have conditioners which will retard the effects of the dyeing agent.
  
  personally i will shampoo my hair w a really mild shampoo tt doesnt have crap (neutrogena is good) this will remove yr natural oil build up on yr hair.
  
  also dry yr hair well b4 applying the dyeing agent

  LOL
  My view is that since the dying process really dries out your hair, it's best to start with greasy hair. The natural oils protect your hair from the harsh chemicals.

  the oils will prevent the dye from getg evenly absorbed into yr hair

  Once the hairstylist said if dye hair after shampooing, the dye will irritate the scalp. But I still insisted on washing my hair first. Cuz always after colouring the hair, the hairstylist just anyhow rinse the hair with a bit of shampoo and water (scared that it will wash off the colour or what)... always not clean one.
