singapore: sing-uh-pore the 'g' is in the 'sing'.

actually both are pronounced flower! flour pronounced as 'flowr' is also ok, but not 'flaar'.
red: same as the past tense 'read' (not 'rey-d').
words from french with '-oir' (eg reservoir, repertoire): it's 'waar' not 'or'.
words with 'c' or 'ch' also can have funny sounds.
cello: 'chello' not 'sello'
Chopin: 'shoh-pan' not 'chop in'
Bach: 'bahk' not 'batch'
also, mispronpunced chinese words may be even more. -
