I did. They only say they'll send the technicians to my hse 2morrow. But can't wait liao. The problem:
Residential phone line no sound. Double confirm by using my spare phone. Confirm that line is dead. But if I call my hse number using my mobile phone, I can hear the ringing thru my handphone set. Could it be someone secretly 'tap' my hse phone line?
The customer service officer also puzzle that about this wor. -

i heard dat if ur phone kana tapped, u will hear a "tock" sound after talking for a few mins.

Let me guess.
The last person who called your house didn't put down his phone properly, thus causing your own house phone to remain "engaged" and thus appear "dead". And your phone line is single line one.
Call that person and KPKB him to put his phone down properly.

don't know what system HDB flats uses. but if it's a PABX system most probably trunk hang, a simple busy release at the software side sometimes will solve. if not then maybe internal cabling faulty loh. -
No wonder for the pass 2 days, my hse phone didnt ring at all.
And if some of my relatives ( very old liao ) passed away, me and my family wont even know! -

Could it be because your phone jack is spoilt ? The wire might get burnt out you know?
