  RIICHE is irked that fliers have now invaded trains. A woman went around the carriages passing fliers and samples of a brand of detergent on the train he was on. 'I couldn't even say no because she just shoved it onto my lap.'
  
  He says: 'Isn't distribution of anything illegal inside trains? If students aren't allowed to collect donations for good causes on trains, why should companies be allowed to give out fliers?'
  
  Lilien-says thinks those people were doing it without the permission of SMRT. 'I got chased away before for standing too near the MRT station while selling flags.'

  Question of deferment
  
  OPINIONS are mixed over whether 17-year-old violinist Ike See should be allowed to defer his national service to pursue his music studies.
  
  Demon-Hunter thinks he should be. 'You don't get some prestigious US music school calling you up every day.' CCloh added: 'Well, Singapore just buried its own talent.'
  
  However, others like Robochop think it's no big deal. 'One less string player, no big deal,' he said.
  
  Alvinaloy added that if he's really so talented, he can probably get in after NS.

  but i met charity organisation volunteers knocking on my office door to solicit donations

  knocking on office doors can...but going to public places like mrt and bus stops cannot...
  otherwise...it is depending on the security uncle's instruction on whether to allow unauthorised people to go around knocking on the company's door...
