POSB GO card

need to clarify something.
Can this card be used if my acct doesnt have enough money? Is it the same as the normal mastercard? -
it's debit card
deduct from ur acct direct
if no money then dun sign up for cards. -
you can set a maximum amount of money to use per transaction too

some ppl not much money but the card can be useful in situations where NETS is not accepted, or they're overseas can use at departmental stores. -
The lady serving me at the counter explained that although this card got Mastercard logo, it is not a go to book tix online and the frills of online shopping. But I see brochure... contradicted what she says.
This card cham si tong.. waiting for my replacment card. -

its my recommendation la
POSB got 2 type of debit card
One is the normal debit card
the other is the GO card
so..
whats the difference
both can
purchase things with a signature
purchase things base on a maximum limit u set
amount purchased is directly deleted from your bank, meaning no bills to bother at end of month
use them worldwide
however,
the main difference is
the normal debit card from POSB ALLOWS you to do online purchase, like the booking of movie ticket online, payment for certain US based stuff..
but the GO card doesn't allows...
that's y i say dun get the GO card.. -

So i can just use the card to purchase even the acct not enough fund? Then can pay at next month?

Using that Go! card as a stop gap now for ATMing. Waiting for the Mastercard Debit to come as the previous card's security was so called compromise. -

1. Sign like a MasterCard or
2. Use NETS like a ATM card.
If u sign,takes a few days to clear the transaction.U get to earn interest for a few days before $ is deducted from the a/c the card is linked to.
If u use NETS, transaction gets thru immediately and $ is deducted straight from the a/c. -
Read the posb webpg and u will b enlightened and u will not ask ques abt the card here anymore

For me I don't care for it's Mastercard debit feature. I just use this opportunity to replace my old POSB design ATM card issued to me in 1993. Yes their card very durable can tahan usage for at least 10 years cuz I personally verified it.
Now I have that old card as souvenir and a brand new colorful ATM POSB card hahaha.... I smart hor? Change card no need pay money

I prefer Debit Card anytime. At least, I won't spend more than what I can afford. Credit cards are so dangerous.

but that time i apply already then they are going to replace my nets card to the GO card, which i doesnt want.
i want one for saving and one for spending.
whatsmore, the GO card canot purchase things online ..
i've the card with me but did not activate it -
Is it possible to have my mom apply a normal debit card and let me use?

if u want your ATM card to have a nicer design with your name on it, sure by all means go get the GO card.
