  watch Cowboy Bebop... it gets unfunnier too.. but the drama as it unfolds, you cannot keep your eyes off it...
  
  it is like a kabuki play.. everyone knows the tragic outcome but is stuck and forced to play out their fates..
  
  and the music is amazing..
