Architects love it. Fengshui master thinks it is a disaster.
Architects:
Dr Erwin Viray : "I think the sky garden could become iconic and the first in the world"
Goh Chong Chia : "Roof gardens have been created before but not on this sort of scale. It's like lifting the ground to a whole new level"
Feng Shui Master:
Victor Li : "On their own, the three tall building look like three ancestral tablets and with the sky garden, it looks like a broken flyover, with neither head or tail"
Tan Khoon Yong : "it resemble a blade that will affect all building surrounding the IR, especially the Swissotel Stamford. Also because the rooftop is flat, it restrict the development of the IR"
Adeline Pang : "has no problem with the flat roof, she warned that the garden should not have ponds or water features or the water features because this would symbolise a drowning building"
Public :
Ms Loke Mei En : "It looks embarassing. The design is haphazard put together. It's an aberration on our waterfront"
"Other liken the towers to joss-sticks and a glorified factory" -

This IR had also consulted fenghui master. Does the fengshui master think about the surrounding or only care for his client only?

I initially thought the design rather plain and uninspiring, except for the Art-Science museum. But nevertheless the sky garden, whatever the fengshui masters say, has the potential to become a really interesting attraction.
