youngsters growing up too fast nowadays??

Well, do you agree that nowadays, kids, say 10 to 16 are far mature than their age??
I mean.. Not that it's a bad thing or wad.. But the last time when i go shopping, i heard a small girl about 13 at the most, whining to her mum that all her frens haf a billabong pencil case and she ought to haf one also..
I used to be tuiton tcher at a childcare centre and the pri sch kids (oldest was onli 12) talking bout lesbian and gay..
Is it supposed to be a norm or wad?? Coz i remember when i was like 12, i was still gushing about digimon, pokemon and streetfighters.. I didn't even noe wad's a branded good at tt pt in time..

Thats y.. those who are ard 15-17 de all know as much things as a 10+ years old de ... nowadays i see 8 years old using handphone here and there.... and some primary school kids talking about sex and porn and stuffs lidat.. where as i didn't understand what fcuk means until i became around primary5. But me from small know branded goods le... cuz i m pampered.

that time i read the Teens magazine.. got a pri 5 kid wrote a letter for some advise.. her problem is that guy who is same age as her.. don't like her already.. they break off.. what should she do? because she like that guy alot and wanna spend her life with him -
my first kiss with a non-family related guy was when i was 8.. i own a windows 95 since i was 10 or 11.. i was a social smoker since i was 13. ain't that considered as growing too fast in your books?
i view that as something good. i experience life earlier than most ppl would have. in other words, i mature quicker -

I tink kids 12 plus plus noe as much as when we were 16 lo.. Pri 5 i was still the fat kid playing block catching and causing earthquakes in singapore every afternoon..
I tink pri 5 kids now are probably munching a stick of celery and counting their daily calorie intake..

What has wanting a pencil case got to do with growing up and maturity? It actually shows the contrast. Sometimes mature quicker is not a good thing. If going by your argument then at 13+ years can start experimenting s*x ? That is crazy proposition

Sexual maturity does not equate nor correlate with emotional maturity. Just because a 12-year-old is talking about sex does not mean he/she is mature enough to handle a relationship. Unfortunately, given the way education and the media are these days, it's difficult if not welll nigh impossible for emotional maturity to catch up with its sexual counterpart.

It's about being more informed (well or not, you decide) and more materialistic. -
