Latest info is that the D&D will be in July. But the bonus hasn't been paid yet.
And please DON"T ever donate to the Zoo's "conservation fund" cause they use the money collected for their operations costs and NOT for conservation. As quoted from the Zoo's websai:
"All funds from WCSF (conservation fund) go towards the welfare and FEEDING of endangered/threatened animals in Singapore Zoo and Night Safari... and MANPOWER COST for fundraising personnel"
Cheat people money, of course will make profit lah...

Has the zoo's Executive Director graduated from her MBA course with University of Chicago? It's a very expensive course. If she paid for it, that means she's very rich or well paid. If the company sponsored, then she very lucky. Wah, this logo looks like something I can Photoshop in 5 mins flat + 30 mins looking for the font.
Just 1 comment: I like the old logo better. The new one looks shoddy and resembles those pia-in-5-mins-cos-it-is-due-tomorrow-morning job. -

I saw the new Zoo advertisement on Animal Planet on cable before. At the end of it, it shows a young kid with a brush animating the logo drawing.

Saw their job ad on one of the Saturdays. They displayed the Night Safari logo, Jurong Birdpark logo and zoo logo. It was like.... the logos of two animal related established (night sf and birdpark) and one dunno what company (the zoo) put together. It just didn't fit in at all. -

I want to post on SEA OF AFFINITY forum to talk about its fengshui.
Some ppl commented (some time ago) about the entrance fengshui, when renovated back in a few years ago. -

The bonus has finally been paid, apparently after MoM got involved.
D&D is in mid-July.
Logo Saga: A zookeeper who was nostalgic about the old logo started a small initiative among the keepers to print T-shirts with the old zoo logo. They planned to wear the T-shirts to the D&D as a form of 'protest'. However, management got wind of this plan and the zookeeper was invited to have coffee with the Executive Director. That old zoo logo T-shirt has not been worn by the keepers ever since.
Management is obviously sore about their bad, logo change decision. Too late and embarassing to turn back now... -
well, i still like the old logo...
wonder if i should organise a visit to the zoo.. i'll go there and see if i can ask the people there about the stupidity of changing a well-known logo... -
