I don't think management is too concerned about people quitting seeing how these days staff come and go so often.
LOL... during economic crisis, they still could hold D&D. Now have to put on hold???Originally posted by Zooish:Yah, still haven't get yet. Even the annual D&D is being put on hold.
So now got rumour spreading that the zoo didn't really make a profit, there was an accounting error
The fact that the zoo is now hiring a new finance manager may lend some credibility to the rumour.

and this is what happened?
Has the zoo's Executive Director graduated from her MBA course with University of Chicago? It's a very expensive course. If she paid for it, that means she's very rich or well paid. If the company sponsored, then she very lucky. Cuz if I'm not wrong, it's about S$120,000 to 180,000 (depending on whether she attends her class in Singapore or Chicago).Originally posted by Zooish:Latest info is that the D&D will be in July. But the bonus hasn't been paid yet.
And please DON"T ever donate to the Zoo's "conservation fund" cause they use the money collected for their operations costs and NOT for conservation. As quoted from the Zoo's websai:
"All funds from WCSF (conservation fund) go towards the welfare and FEEDING of endangered/threatened animals in Singapore Zoo and Night Safari... and MANPOWER COST for fundraising personnel"
Cheat people money, of course will make profit lah...[/u]
Not sure if she graduated yet. I'm guessing she attends local classes cos she never took long leave before.Originally posted by Honeybunz:Has the zoo's Executive Director graduated from her MBA course with University of Chicago? Wah.. first time hear company sponsor MBA programme leh.Originally posted by Zooish:Not sure if she graduated yet. I'm guessing she attends local classes cos she never took long leave before.
Should be sponsored by the company, since it strongly advocates skills upgrading and training workforce. They sponsor a lot of classes for staff now, even part-timers: first aid course, fitness class, language class, GEMS, emergency preparedness, coaching course...

Just 1 comment: I like the old logo better. The new one looks shoddy and resembles those pia-in-5-mins-cos-it-is-due-tomorrow-morning job.
HAHAHHAHAHA that's so dumb.Originally posted by mhcampboy:I saw the new Zoo advertisement on Animal Planet on cable before. At the end of it, it shows a young kid with a brush animating the logo drawing.![]()

Saw their job ad on one of the Saturdays. They displayed the Night Safari logo, Jurong Birdpark logo and zoo logo. The zoo one looked soooooo odd among the three.Originally posted by Gazette05:Attract the children = attract the whole family. Children are a good source of income. Just look at Macs!

I want to post on SEA OF AFFINITY forum to talk about its fengshui.
Some ppl commented (some time ago) about the entrance fengshui, when renovated back in a few years ago.

The bonus has finally been paid, apparently after MoM got involved.
Tell the ED that I said "HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA "Originally posted by Zooish:. However, management got wind of this plan and the zookeeper was invited to have coffee with the Executive Director. That old zoo logo T-shirt has not been worn by the keepers ever since.
Management is obviously sore about their bad, logo change decision. Too late and embarassing to turn back now...![]()
